GNOME 3.9.2
GNOME (GNU Network Object Model Environment) è un ambiente desktop che ha l´obiettivo di fornire un ambiente di sviluppo e desktop libero per il sistema operativo GNU/Linux.

Note di rilascio:

GNOME 3.9 development is getting underway, with the 3.9.2 snapshot
that is marking the second release of this development cycle [1].

Major changes in this release include:

- First GNOME release without any GConf dependency; Nice to see one of  the GNOME 3 cleanup goals [2] achieved :)

A slight complication is that some modules (eog, totem, gedit) doesntbuild because a problem with the libpeas release. For sure this will be fixed in thenext development release

To compile GNOME 3.9.2, you can use the jhbuild [3] modulesetspublished by the release team [4] (which use the exact tarballversions from the official release).

This release is a snapshot of early development code. Although it isbuildable and usable, it is primarily intended for testing and hackingpurposes. GNOME uses odd minor version numbers to indicate development status.
