Su VR-zone hanno messo a confronto questi due puledrini Abit per P4. Conclusion Board features & Pricing ABIT BD7II-RAID and BG7 can be considered lightly featured as compared to their counterparts, the MAX series and other brands like Gigabyte and MSI. Nevertheless, those board possess features that most users would want like USB 2.0 ports, Realtek 6 Channel audio, onboard LAN and RAID (BD7II-RAID only). BG7 lacks RAID but has connectors for optional Audio add-on card to be attached providing SPDIF in/out, 6 channel audio output and additional USB 2.0 ports. With the market so competitive now, these boards are very well priced against other brands of boards. BIOS & Overclockability ABIT BD7II-RAID and BG7 continue their winning streak for excellent overclocking capability with FSB up to 250Mhz in 1Mhz intervals, 1/3, 1/4 and Fix CPU/PCI ratios, 4:5 DRAM ratio for BG7 and DRAM voltage increments. However, VCore voltage should be selectable up to 1.85V instead of 1.725V max for better overclocking. Performance & Stability BG7 simply performs amazingly fast in most benchmarks putting it near the performance of the 850E w/ PC1066 RDRAM. When pit against other DDR333 chipsets like SiS645DX and P4X333, BG7 is just faster. As for BD7II-RAID, the lack of DDR333 support just put people off although the performance is decent enough but not good enough for performance users. DDR333 is the way to go now as it provides added performance with just a slight increase in cost.
