Nuova versione del player DVD certamente meno blasonato dei suoi concorrenti, come PowerDVD della CyberLink, ma non per questo meno efficiente e versatile.

It offers MPEG-2 video support, and has the ability to bring new features such as DVD-to-MP3 conversion, a 16-band EQ, and MP3 functionality. DirectDVD also supports new audio filters, such as Digital Theater Systems (DTS) and Sony Dynamic Digital Sound (SDDS). Closed Captioning is included, and SubPictures in 32 languages are also built inside the engine.
